Description
The Sky-Watcher Fusion 300DXi Full Kit bundles the Fusion 300DXi computerised Alt-Azimuth mount with the Fusion Equatorial Wedge, so both observing modes are ready to go straight out of the box. It’s a new-generation mount designed for maximum versatility, high payload capacity and simple setup — suited to visual observing, casual imaging, and serious long-exposure deep-sky astrophotography alike.
The mount’s ALT arm and AZ base combine into a single, compact system that’s easy to transport and quick to install, with the ALT arm sliding along the AZ base to balance a wide range of optical tubes. Built-in Wi-Fi and control via the SynScan App remove the need for a traditional hand controller (still available separately as an optional accessory), giving an intuitive way to run the mount from a smartphone, tablet or PC.
With the included Equatorial Wedge fitted, the mount converts from its native Alt-Azimuth configuration to full equatorial operation, with 0–70° latitude adjustment and ±14° azimuth adjustment for accurate, repeatable polar alignment. Dual-axis clutches paired with Freedom-Find™ dual-encoder technology mean the mount can be repositioned by hand in either mode without losing alignment. Payload capacity is 30kg in Alt-Azimuth mode and 25kg once converted to equatorial.
Note: this kit does not include a tripod/pier or the SynScan hand controller, both of which are available separately.
