The saxon equatorial is a precision equatorial accessory designed to improve the accuracy and stability of your astronomy tracking setup. By allowing precise latitude adjustment, it delivers far greater accuracy than a standard camera tripod head – essential for long and short exposure astrophotography and smooth time-lapse capture.
Equipped with fine adjustment knobs on both the azimuth and latitude axes, the EQ Wedge makes quick and easy adjustments without the need to reposition your tripod. This level of control ensures precise alignment for reliable tracking.
The wedge itself has a Vixen clamp at the top which attaches to standard Vixen dovetails, but it also comes with an adapter that attaches to any smart telescope with a 3/8″ threaded hole at the bottom.
Similarly, the wedge can attach to any tripod that has a plain 3/8″ bolt at the top. Many popular brands of tripod have such a bolt.
Key Features:

- Fine azimuth and latitude adjustment knobs
- 3/8″- 16 mounting sockets between wedge and tripod
- Vixen-style dovetail saddle
- Adapter plate with 3/8″ bolt for SeeStar Dwarf, etc.
