The QHY533M Monochrome Deep Sky Camera is back-illuminated with 3.76um pixels. The QHY533M uses a similar series of back-side illuminated sensors as the flagship models QHY600 and QHY268, featuring low noise and zero amp glow. The sensor is different from other sensors in that it has a square format.

The QHY533M can be directly connected to the QHYCFW3S-SR (for 7×1.25″ mounted or 7x31mm unmounted filters) without removing any part of the filter wheel (like the filter container). This combination has a total back focus of 24mm, and the combination may be attached directly to a 2″ focuser, or combined with an off-axis guider for a total of 55mm between corrector and sensor. The Camera and filter wheel can also be combined with optional adapters allowing you to attach a Nikon or Canon DSLR lens for wide-field work.

The QHY533M also comes with an additional adapter for a tripod interface. This makes it easier to image wide-field targets using a DSLR lens.
