The QHY533C Colour Deep Sky Camera is back-illuminated with 3.76um pixels. The QHY533C uses a similar series of back-side illuminated sensors as the flagship models QHY600 and QHY268, featuring low noise and zero amp glow. The sensor is different from other sensors in that it has a square format.

The QHY533C comes with a range of adapters (see Combo diagram). The adapters can be directly connected to a 55mm BFL M48 coma corrector or field flattener, direct to a 2″ focuser, or (using an additional adapter sold separately) a Nikon or Canon DSLR lens. At the same time, the C-port thread can be provided with the QHY533C and you can directly mount the C-port lens.

The QHY533C also comes with an additional adapter for a tripod interface. This makes it easier to image wide-field targets using a DSLR lens.
