The Long Perng ED72 is an air-spaced doublet refractor with a focal length of 432mm. It is beautifully finished in high-gloss black anodised CNC aluminium.

The telescope features a 2-element ED (extra-low dispersion) lens cell which significantly cuts chromatic aberration. Multi-coated optics ensure high light transmission. A Vixen-sized dovetail foot with 1/4″ threaded hole allows you to mount it on a photographic tripod or telescope mount. A retractable hood protects the cell from dew and extraneous light.

The telescope has a smooth, 2-inch dual-speed rack and pinion focuser with a patented locking system, meaning it will not lose focus even when pointed at the zenith. The focuser drawtube features an M54 thread and is supplied with a M54 to 2″ compression ring adapter and a 2″ to 1.25″ compression ring adapter allowing the Long Perng ED72 to accepts all 2″ and 1.25″ diagonals and eyepieces.

This is an excellent grab-and-go telescope, and at just 2.5kg total weight, it will work well with 5kg camera trackers such as Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer or iOptron Sky Guider.
