Because it weighs just 6.2 lb (2.8kg) and has a payload of 18.7 lb (8.5kg) without a counterweight (or up to 26 lb (11.8kg) with a counterweight), you’ll find the HAE18C is a compelling choice when you’re travelling, or even setting up in your own back yard.

The HAE18C mount can be controlled by a computer, either via ASCOM/ iOptron Commander for Windows PCs, third party INDI drivers for MacOS, Raspberry Pi, or Linux devices — or through a smartphone/ tablet via the iOptron Commander Lite app or SkySafari. It can also be controlled by the optional 8411 GOTONOVA hand set.
