A stereo microscope is an optical microscope that provides a three-dimensional view of a specimen. Stereo microscopes are often referred to as dissecting microscopes. Stereo microscopes include a single objective lens and two eyepiece lenses. As a result, you have two separate optical paths, one for each eye. Stereo microscopes generally provide a relatively low magnification, typically 50x and below.
