Description

The QUATTRO 200PDX is the larger of the two new PDX imaging Newtonians: 200mm of aperture at f/4, with 800mm of focal length for framing galaxies and smaller nebulae more tightly than the 150mm can.

Every mechanical upgrade in the PDX generation carries across. The 1:11 dual-speed rack and pinion focuser gives the fine control a fast Newtonian demands, the secondary mirror is held in an integral die-cast bracket for collimation that holds between sessions, and the thickened aluminium alloy tube resists flexure under the weight of a camera train.

At 8.3kg the tube needs a mount with real capacity, and the multifunctional handle makes it manageable to carry and fit. An optional coma corrector is recommended for imaging.
