Lanternfish is a compact sky quality meter for measuring night sky brightness in MPSAS.
Unlike many existing sky quality meters, which are offered in different versions depending on the interface (USB, Ethernet, display, etc.), Lanternfish integrates all these functions into a single device. This avoids having to choose between models and makes it easier to use it.
It provides autonomous data logging and direct access via Wi-Fi, without the need for external hardware or software.
Key points:
- Single device – No need to choose between different models or interfaces.
- Autonomous operation – Can record measurements without a computer connected.
- Wi-Fi access – The integrated web interface can be accessed from any browser.
- Data logging – Measurements are recorded automatically with date and time.
- Portable or fixed use – Can be used hand-held, on a tripod, or as part of a permanent installation.
Simple operation:
Point Lanternfish at the sky and take a measurement instantly, or run it in a programmed mode.
It can operate continuously, recording data at configurable intervals throughout the night.
Data is available via the integrated web interface or can be exported in CSV format.
