This bundle includes the Baader Hyperion 68° Mark IV Universal Zoom eyepiece and its matching 2.25x Barlow lens at a significant discount.

The Baader Hyperion 68° Mark IV Universal Zoom eyepiece has been designed from the ground up to deliver the highest possible quality image, which is something not typically associated with zoom lenses. The magnification can be adjusted seamlessly from 8 – 24mm, with clickstops marked at 8, 12, 16, 20 & 24mm so that two Mark IV eyepieces can be set to the same magnification even in the dark.

The finest glasses, optical design and lens polish quality are optimized for the highest magnification while still giving the largest apparent field of view. The Hyperion eyepieces use high quality Phantom group-coatings for maximum contrast and zero internal reflections.

The Baader Hyperion Zoom 2.25x Barlow lens is an anastigmatic flatfield triplet Barlow for use with the Hyperion Zoom eyepiece, converting it into a high power 3.5 – 10.5mm zoom lens. Its modular design allows it to be used in a variety of ways for both visual and photographic applications.

The Hyperion Zoom 2.25x Barlow mounts directly onto every Baader 8 – 24mm Hyperion Zoom eyepiece with the included A adapter, as well as any eyepiece with a 1.25″ filter thread. The included T2 adapter allows it to be used photographically.

The Mark IV Universal Zoom eyepiece was also designed to be natively compatible with bino-viewers. The latest generation weighs 80g lighter than its predecessor and its 55mm diameter makes it useful for dual mode from 55mm interpupillary distance, important for use with bino-viewers. The Mark IV also offers 4mm more backfocus for greater compatibility with many spotting scopes.

Both 1.25″ and 2″ barrels with safety kerfs are included. Each barrel is threaded for connection of all standard 1.25″ and 2″ filters. There is also a 2″ Schmidt-Cassegrain thread for direct connection to telescope and diagonals with the optional BA1508080 adapterThe adjustable eyecup can be removed to reveal an M43-Video-Photo thread for afocal and classical projection photography, permitting optional adaptation of practically any camera with optional accessories.

Baader Hyperion eyepieces provide a wide 68° apparent field, sharp field stops and excellent ergonomics for comfortable observing. Baader’s Phantom Group coating is a 7-layer broadband anti-reflective coating with extremely low residual reflection. Each group of lenses has this coating applied. The coating has been optimized so that they are most effective where the human eye has its greatest sensitivity at night, at around 520nm.

Three different eyecups are included for use with or without glasses.
