TS-Optics Knurled Collimation Screws for Celestron SCT’s
SCT collimation is necessary. However, it is not everyone´s cup of tea to handle a hexagon socket wrench in front of the sensitive Schmidt plate in the dark. The TS-Optics knurled collimation screws offer a remedy.
The knurled screws offer a generously grooved upper side for very precise adjustment without tools. A big advantage for example compared to the Bob´s Knobs screws are the different surfaces, which allows you to distinguish the screws even in the dark and thus always turn the right screw. Each screw has a rubberized and rounded surface, one with a CNC engraved notch and one with a flat head.
The collimation screws fit almost all Celestron SC and EHD telescopes from 5″ to 14″ aperture. The matching spacers are included and the instructions tell you which spacers are needed for which telescope.
- C5: 2 spacers per screw
- C6: no spacer
- C8 without Fastar: 2 spacers per screw
- C8 with Fastar: 1 spacer per screw
- C8 Edge HD with/without Fastar: no spacer
- C9.25 without Fastar: 1 spacer per screw
- C9.25 Edge HD without Fastar: 1 spacer per screw
- C11 without Fastar: no spacer
- C11 Edge HD without Fastar: no spacer
Theses collimation screwa are not compatibility with Edge HD925, C9.25, Edge HD1100, C11 with Fastar.
Important: Some Celestron SCTs have American threads for adjusting the secondary mirror. These knobs are not suitable for non-metric threads.
