Astrophotographers are increasingly mounting micro computers, such as a NUC, MeLE, etc. mounted on the telescope itself. If the rig has a Pegasus Powerbox (such as a Powerbox Advance) on the telescope as well, this cable will supply power to the computer without having an extra cable running down the mount. Fewer cables mean lower risk of snagging or waving in the breeze, and therefore better guiding.
